In the meeting of Indian ambassador with the head of Iran chamber of commerce was emphasized the banking and financial relations as the key of expanding of economic cooperation between Iran and India.

According to the report of ICCIMA's public relations, Mohsen Jalalpour the head of Iran chamber said: Iran's economy is moving towards a competitive and free-market oriented economy, as sanctions and difficulties of an oil-dependent economy showed us that the empowerment of the private sector is a necessity.
Pointing to Iran's strategic position in the region and its trade potential, Jalalpour said: In 2014 the volume of trade between the two countries was $ 6 billion, which is good compared to other countries, but in terms of relations with India, more than expected.
He stated that tourism, health tourism and religious tourism, technical and engineering services, human resources specialist, agricultural and industries are some of the potential areas for bilateral and regional trade cooperation.
In this meeting, Saurabh Kumar, Indian ambassador in Tehran said that the historical relations between the two countries and peoples will be a factor affecting the development of trade relations between the two countries.
Referring to the importance of relations with the two countries' embassies and the chambers of commerce, kumar noted: these relations can play an important role in facilitating bilateral trade.
Ambassador of India announced that Indian trade delegation will be dispatched in the next few months on Iran and expressed hope that trade relations between the two countries is more than ever before.
