Iran plans to export 1.2 million tons of mazut exports in February with half of the amount bound for Singapore. This shows an increase of 80 percent compared to the figure for the same month in 2015.
Iran exported 760,000 tons of mazut in January of which about 100,000 tons was sold to Singapore, reported Mehr News Agency.
It has been estimated that the rest of Iranian mazut shipment will be sent to the United Arab Emirates.
Prior to the sanctions, Iran exported 600,000 tons of mazut per month of which 50 percent were shipped to Singapore.
Iran's average export of mazut to Singapore in 2010 was 270,000 tons.
Furthermore, eight large tankers will each carry 75,000 tons of Iranian fuel oil to Singapore.
Iran's mazut export in January 2016 showed a growth of 81 percent compared to the amount for the same month in 2015.
