The 5th annual meeting of the Union of Commercial an Non-commercial Risk Insurers and Reinsurers in the Member Countries of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Arab Investment and Export Credit Guarantee Corporation (Dhaman) called “AMAN Union” is hosted by the Export Guarantee Funds of Iran in Tehran.

More than 70 experts from credit insurance industry from 27 countries have participated in the meeting to draft the Union’s business plan for the upcoming year.

Foreign ECAs appreciated Iran’s efforts to fulfill its commitments despite the difficulties it deals with despite the sanctions. European companies also pointed out the decrease in their turnover as a result of economic difficulties caused by sanctions.

According to government officials, Iran has always met its obligations in its financial interactions with its trade partners .They also stated that they have taken effective steps to remove the trade barriers.

In a press conference Iran’s minister of industry, trade and mine noted the importance of further support from AMAN Union taking the investment opportunities in the Islamic Republic of Iran into consideration and he also urged the formation of more robust ties between Islamic countries ,which currently form 12% of world trade. Iranian officials expressed hope that with the investment opportunities in Iran and the cooperation among the members in the form of joint or re-insurance , there will be a greater capacity to promote trade and do more business in Iran.
