As of next week, traders who choose Maku Free Trade Zone–located in West Azarbaijan Province—as their platform to export fruit and vegetable will be entitled to a 30% discount in transport costs, Hossein Forouzan, managing director of the FTZ, announced on Sunday. Maku, in the vicinity of the Turkish border, is home to Bazargan, which is Iran’s largest export terminal. The FTZ became operational early February.
