Lulu International Travel and Tourism, a division of Lulu Group, has been named the best Overseas Tour Operator from West Asia and Africa region, during India’s National Tourism Awards.
The company, which has seven offices across the UAE, was presented the award by the President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee, at a function held at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.
The annual awards ceremony held by the Ministry of Tourism, recognises those companies and organisations within their respective fields.
Commenting on receiving the award, Lulu Group managing director Yusuff Ali MA said: “We are honoured to have won this prestigious award from the government of India.
“This will give us further encouragement to boost the potential of Indian tourism in the Middle East and Africa.
“Tourism sector is very important for the future growth of India as it is one of the top foreign exchange generator.”
