World  Business and Economic Analysis

Each of the entrepreneurs we’ve decided to commend this week have delivered numerous talks to the local youth on how to live a better life, awaken and strengthen an entrepreneur within themselves, and give back to their communities.

Omar Al-Busaidy, an Emirati entrepreneur, motivational speaker and author, and Khalid Al Ameri, an Emirati opinion writer and social commentator on issues in the Arab world related to employment, entrepreneurship and social development, have decided to join forces.
Global Possibilities, a start-up they’ve just set up, is based on a mission to empower youth, students and entrepreneurs with the skills, knowledge and understanding required to create a unique UAE work culture.
A Stanford MBA, Al Ameri’s experience includes sailing on oil tankers and gas carriers, working on investment projects at Mubadala Development Company, co-founding a food and beverage start-up in Abu Dhabi, mentoring budding entrepreneurs at Flat6Labs, being a Careem Captain, inspiring people with his regular blog posts and the upcoming publication of his first book.
No less engaging, Al Busaidy has balanced a successful career in the public sector with his entrepreneurial work, becoming one of 26 Abu Dhabi Global Shapers with the World Economic Forum, and publishing 'Just Read It', a self-help guide to personal and professional development.
Drawing on the wealth of their fruitful careers and eager to offer more to young people across the region, the two Emiratis are now planning to hold regular seminars and workshops on building a business in the UAE, understanding the local market and its culture, utilising the power of networks, and much more, making them worthy recipients of this week's accolade.
